Hello, I'm Xeni.
I provide individualized guidance in academic writing, college and graduate admissions, and SAT Reading & Writing preparation.
My work is centered on helping students think clearly, present themselves strategically, and communicate with precision, originality, and persuasive force. I work with students not only to strengthen their writing, but also to develop a more compelling presentation of their abilities and ambitions.
Students I have supported have gone on to earn admission to a range of highly selective institutions, including Harvard, the University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins, Brown, Georgetown, UC Berkeley, UCLA, the University of Southern California, the University of Washington, Carnegie Mellon, Wellesley, Grinnell, Hamilton, and Colgate.
I hold a B.A. in English Language & Literature from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Harvard University. While teaching at Harvard, I received a Derek Bok Center Award for Excellence in Teaching. I have taught and mentored students from middle school through graduate school, including many seeking rigorous intellectual engagement and exceptional results.
